About

Pelle Brage (b. 1978) is a Danish visual artist, currently based somewhere in between Copehagen, Denmark and Høvåg, outside of Kristiansand, Norway. He has a masters degree from the Art Academy in Copenhagen. His work uses public space to emphasize social potential. It is hands-on, pragmatic, hopeful and joyful, striving to include and to make real changes.

Brage’s work most often takes the form of projects, challenging the idea of artistic and economic production. He creates spaces for discussion, reflection, wonder and change. He creates social value. He often co-operates with local institutions (political, social or both), and with other artists, including the international art group Parfyme, which he co-founded in 2000. Up through the 00’s, Parfyme set new standards for citizen involvement in a series of comprehensive art projects.

Brage’s work, comprising more than 50 projects, has been shown/ performed/ taking place all over the world. See the “resume” for a comprehensible list.
